Good password hygiene shouldn’t need an account, a subscription, or a leap of faith.
The idea
Most people know they should use strong, unique passwords — but the tools for doing it are often bloated, ad-supported, or quietly hoovering up data. CheckPasscode is the opposite: a small, fast toolkit that does a few things well and asks nothing of you.
What’s inside
- A cryptographically-random password and PIN generator with a live strength read-out.
- A strength and breach-exposure checker to catch the obvious risks.
- A reference list of commonly-breached passwords to avoid, and a gallery of strong-but-memorable examples for inspiration.
Our approach
The tools run in your browser, there’s no account to create, and we don’t run ads or sell data. We’d rather earn trust by being simple and transparent than by making big promises.
